How often do you meet with grade levels/individual teachers?
grade level-once a grading period with lots of e-mail and one-on-one
monthly--schedule meetings during planning time
one-on-one, lunch room etc...
Set timeframe on monthly schedule during PE
How do you prepare for collaborative planning meetings?
e-mail about meeting beforehand so that we come to meeting prepared
teachers come prepared with curriculum objectives
LMS/CRS come prepared with own objectives and calendars, will also pull previous years lessons
Set agenda, either mailed prior to meeting or at meeting -
Have extra copies of handouts
Printout a copy of the Activity Calendar for the timeframe
Include a reminder in morning announcements
Put it in activities calendar so it is printed every month
Put in weekly Principal planner
How are the meetings organized?
As short and quick as possible, stay focused on task because planning time is limited

What advice would you give to a new CRS or LMS who is meeting with teachers for the first time?
come prepared with grade levels objectives (SOL, Pacing Chart, VB Objectives, previous years language arts tests)
and come with suggestions
take notes of who is going to do what and follow-up if you need more input.
